Mary Effie (McLean/White) Crocker, 74
Osterville \endash Mary Effie (McLean/White) Crocker, 74, passed away at her home in Osterville on Feb. 3, 2009.
Mrs. Crocker enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening at her home and trips to Dowses Beach to watch the fishermen try their luck on the jetty.
Born and raised in Barnstable, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Christine McLean.
Mrs. Crocker was the wife of the late Donald P. White and mother of six children. She later married James H. Crocker and moved to Osterville. Her marriage brought six more stepchildren into her life, resulting in numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy and keep track of.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Crocker; children, Jackie Wilson and her husband, Jeff, of Vt.; Donald "Buzzy" White and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Centerville; Michele White of Vt.; Tony White and his wife, Joan, of Vt.; Paul White and his partner, David Nault, of Boston; Chris White and his wife, Dana, of Marstons Mills; stepchildren, Susan Crocker and her partner, Lindley Gifford, of Marstons Mills; Linda Crocker Rizkallah of Barnstable; James H. Crocker Jr. and his wife, Gail, of Osterville; Sharon Crocker of Marstons Mills; Cathleen Mortimer and her husband, Bruce, of Conn.; and M. Lisa Crocker of West Yarmouth. She is also survived by her brother Stan McLean and his wife, Grace, of Centerville; sister, Ann Alymer and her husband, Jack, of Centerville; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial Mass was held at Lady of Hope Chapel in West Barnstable.
