Margaret Post who m. Sergt Caleb Abell, was the dau. of John Post. John Post was b. in England; d.Nov.27,1710, bur, in the old burying ground of Norwich; m.Hester Hyde Mar. 1652 at Saybrook. John Post went to Hartford in 1636, to Saybrook in 1649 and to Norwich in 1660 where he was one of the original proprietors and townsman in 1674, 1679 and 1686. He was the son of Lieut. Stephen Post.
