In 1740 - 42 Roger Thomas settled in Ponset District, Haddam, Conn.
From a letter of Ada Ackerman (Dunbar)
Roger Thomas; died Haddam, Ct 1771; he married (2) before 25 Feb.1765, Elizabeth ----, at which date she was mentioned in a deed. Roger is otherwise unidentified, except to note Evan Thomas early at Boston and Roger Thomas early at Kittery, ME.
This family moved in 1741 from Eastham to Haddam Ct. By conveyance of 25 Feb. 1765 Evan Thomas of Haddam entered into an agreement for the support of Roger Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas, both of Haddam.
The will of Roger Thomas, dated 16 March 1770 and proved 5 Aug. 1771, mentioned "beloved wife" Elizabeth, daughter Jedidiah and sons Ebenezer and Aaron. The last two were named executors, and they paid three pounds to Evan Thomas.
